National Poetry Day 2008

National Poetry Day is a celebration one day every year were we celebrate lots of amazing poems that have ever been writen.National poetry Day this year is on Thursday 9th October and like every year there is a theme! This years theme is work. Year 9 classes have been writing poems where they are given the opening stanzer then have to finish it. there will be a prize to the 1st 2nd 3rd best poemsand a presentation on friday

USA Presidential election

The great clash between Obama and Mccain they both clashed on a TV show in America, all the commotion is that Obama is a black man and if he wins the first black man to be in control of the white house. The other man Mccain seems to be a bad influence in buying up bad home loans which is bad for the credit crunch and for the people with these bad home loans. On Wednesday the 8th of October the debate between the rivals Mccain and Obama which will win find out.

Wizard of Oz

In Decemember Y8 are going to a theatre in Manchester. It is bound to be a great trip based on the classic film and book every one knows as The Wizard of Oz!
